The story behind the name Aesti

What Does “AESTI” Mean?
The name “AESTI” originates from Germania, a work by the Roman historian Tacitus, in which he described the peoples inhabiting the eastern coast of the Baltic Sea, referring primarily to the Estonians.

According to one interpretation, the name has Germanic roots and derives from aistan, meaning “to honor” or “to respect.”

We felt that Estonia’s ancient name perfectly reflects the spirit of our beauty products, which are crafted from an esteemed natural resource — health peat.
