Männikjärve bog (Jõgeva County)
Männikjärve bog is located in Jõgeva County, in the heart of the Endla Nature Reserve, and is known for its quiet and ancient atmosphere. A wooden boardwalk leads into the bog, winding past dark pools, dwarf birches, and soft moss carpets, offering a truly immersive nature experience. The bog is named after Lake Männikjärv — a deep, dark lake situated right in the centre of the wetland. The area’s birdlife is rich, and in spring and autumn you can hear the calls of various waterbirds and migratory species. The trail also passes a birdwatching tower that provides excellent views over the entire bog landscape. In autumn, the bog is filled with berries and mushrooms, offering plenty to explore for nature lovers. The quiet and seclusion of Männikjärve bog make it an ideal place for peace and recharging.
